In the pink

We do like a bit of pink at The Two Terriers and this peony in the front garden fulfils all of the criteria for a proper measure of pure pinkness.
When the promised heavy rain and possibly hail finally arrives the downpour will smash them to pieces and scatter the petals all over the lawn so it is simply a case of enjoy the pinkness while you can.
Apparently the peony is the national flower of China, I don't know whether pink, red or white is their favourite colour but who cares they look great.
Well done China, a great choice of national flower.
