An early Victorian tea label from a tea wholesaler on Tyneside and what a gem; five lines of type and five different typefaces, brilliant.
Described as 'New Season Tea' this must have been the Beaujolais Nouveau of teas in the days of Empire brought by a tea clipper straight into the Tyne, no doubt the leaf attracted a premium price too.
It must have been a fine brew. Right, time for a proper cup of tea.
