Hanging on the gallery wall

Gold fen. Blue doors

A linocut in eleven colours from a series featuring the mysterious landscape of West Norfolk and The Fens echoing autumn colours, sounds, smells and pursuits.
Before too long the pheasants that are lazily picking for wheat in the stubble will become a lot more cautious as the sounds of 12 and 20 bore cartridges boom across the landscape. The pheasants, partridges and wood pigeons will make testing targets as they fly down the autumn winds and later the smell of game pot roasts will scent the air.
Time to clean the gun and get it ready for use. I don't know what do to make myself a better marksman, practice I suppose!
