Looking out of a Nissen hut at a Jack Russell looking in and she's about to launch herself at the piles of bushel boxes and potato trays in the hope of finding rodents of any persuasion.
In this particular hut Little Owls live in the double-skinned roof space and they have reared a brood twice in the two years we have been here. Outside, one week of warm and sunny weather has the wheat ripening to a beautiful pale gold and when the wheat is cut and harvested the Jack will have all of the rat chasing sport she could ever wish for.
A terrier Arcadia you could say.
