A late autumn day on a beautiful estate lake 'somewhere in West Norfolk'. This swim has yielded big Perch and some useful Pike too, but not today.
Two pike were caught, but boy were they small!
Some anglers have a personal best or 'PB' but I now have a new acronym a 'PW', otherwise known as personal worst.
No disrespect to the mini-pike in the photograph but it was the smallest Pike I had ever caught. Well it was, for half an hour, until I caught an even smaller one on a six inch dead roach for goodness sake. I didn't photograph that one but it was like a green colouring pencil and although small it was beautifully made.
Never mind, a pike is a pike, and the expedition didn't draw a blank.
