Things are stirring

A Hazel bush putting its best catkins forward and in the sunshine too, warming sunshine being a rare sight and sensation in the middle of the great greyness that is January and February.
After the Snowdrops and Aconites this must mean that the sap is slowly rising and Spring is just around the corner. The crop of catkins is huge, there are many more of them than last year, so maybe this will mean a bumper crop of nuts in the Autumn.
      Here's hoping.
