We spotted this notice at the edge of a potato field in West Norfolk and the message is clear, dig our potatoes up and be taken ill, or worse. There have been quite a few cases of potatoes rustling in our area of West Norfolk but whether they are for personal consumption or retail we'll never know.
Interestingly this home-made sign is very close to a lay-by so we see it as a deterrent to would be potato rustlers, unless they enjoy the stomach pump.
