Allotments and pit

Another image taken from a sketchbook that was filled during the 1960s while I was at art school. This time the gadgies have been tending their allotment in County Durham with their Jack Russell standing by on pest control duty.
Now it looks like the right time to go to the workingmen's club for a pint of 'Fed' and a moan about the weather, the crops and the allotment or how useless Boro, Hartlepool, Sunderland or Newcastle are.
'Allotments and pit' is a linocut in six colours printed on 300 gsm Arches 88 and measures  220mm x 280mm.

All of our Jack Russell Terriers, past and present, feature in the Terrier Book in various poses from cadging, to being an exhibitionist and meeting the vicar and a maiden aunt.
