The farmer who works the land in front of the house has the new season's potato planting under control, in fact he's long finished. The housework and husbandry is all completed and now it's just a matter of waiting for the first green shoots to appear for what we think are late potatoes.
The ground is very, very dry but the weathermen are promising some rain in the next few days so that should start to get things moving below soil level.
The debate between the boss and me is which kind has been planted? Will we get a sea of yellow, violet, pale pink or white flowers when the potatoes start to mature; the colour depending on the variety of course?
Until something happens we'll just have contemplate the calming zen patterns in the field.
Patience is a virtue and in this case a peaceful pleasure.
