A decrepit rowing boat stuck in the reeds at the edge of one the many drains that cross the fenland landscape.
The rowing boat is made of fibreglass so I don't know how it will rot away, the wooden parts are already breaking down but the fibreglass parts will still be there in the reeds with colour fading away years from now.
There's about three or four feet of water underneath the boat and as long as the hull remains stuck and trapped at the edge of the reeds that will be a home for the perch and silver fish, hunter and prey living together.
Here's yet another old boat in a different part of the drainage system but it provides just the same level of security and safety for the little fish as the other one.
Or on the other hand perhaps not.
Perch and prey heaven
