Bumper bundles of tastiness

While the cold weather has been holding the asparagus back the slightest hint of a rise in temperature in the earth and the asparagus spears fairly explode out of the ground like ICBMs. So rapid is the growth of the plant that you can almost see them moving as they emerge. This picking which has been sorted into groups of roughly approximate size represents about ten minutes work with the knife.
The smaller samples will be cooked in some suitable manner and the larger and thicker samples will be turned into asparagus soup, a life of culinary luxury and the bonus is that the season started about four weeks earlier than it usually does.
