A change in the weather

We've had more rain in the last three weeks than we had in the previous three months and that's probably because we had absolutely none in the previous three months.
So to start the week here's a series of weather themed photographs from early evening skies to a foggy morning and that one surprised us too. Even the old electricity transformer box has a certain atmospheric quality about it but I suppose everything does have an air of mystery in the fog.

There's one below of a nearly sunset. Sadly we just haven't seen any full-on thermonuclear demonstrations of a sunset and that shows just how selfish the weather can be hiding its light under a bushel, or this case behind a cloud, although the pastel shades are quite beautiful. Try and count the colours and tones in that sky.

At the very bottom I have to own up to a little bit of cheating because it's a sunset from last year, the full-on gaudy, chocolate box special and another view the view from the front door. In fact all of the photographs are front, back or side of the house, west, east and south respectively.
We really do love a good sunset. We like dawn too, obviously, well who doesn't?

  2. It's warm, sticky and humid this morning and no wind at ground level. Weird weather.
