Into the shadowlands

It's that time of year when the sun, gradually moving north, rises directly opposite the eastern end of the house and as it pops over the horizon it shines straight through the back door flooding the kitchen with light and providing some super silhouette images on the kitchen wall. I do enjoy a good silhouette, at infant school it was always paintings of trees and buildings against an orange or yellow sky but these silhouettes are a little more subtle.

Hopefully we'll get a clear morning one day next week by which time the sun will be shining straight along the upstairs landing, out of the middle window onto the front lawn with the rest of the house in silhouette. Here's hoping that the weather gods play ball.
