Back to the plums again

 


      The same fruit but this time a different variety, this time it's the Tsar Plum. This variety makes fantastic jam and the Boss definitely seems to get the best out of them. Minimal sugar to let the taste of the plums come through and no added pectin, just a proportion of semi-ripe plums to help the set. brilliant.

      Now what could be better than homemade bread and lashings of homemade jam with a tea or coffee? A real treat on a plate. The season of plenty continues.
