Walking Lucie in the late afternoon and suddenly you become aware of the vast West Norfolk sky, It's a little like being at sea with the far horizon and that fabulous dome of blue sky. I was intrigued by the wavy, serpent-like cloud in the centre are just hanging there. They are obviously way up high so I suppose it's a bit like the Horses Tails that you get up there.
The Cowslips are, with the warmer weather during the day beginning to show off a little more and over the next few weeks they will get ever more spectacular then suddenly fade and another little period of the Springtime will have passed as Summer approaches.
The plum blossom has all gone now and is being replaced by the apple and pear blossom and this little section is part of a grove of Johnagold, I think that's how you spell it. The grove of trees is a line 200 yards or so long, of Johnagold trees and the fruit is a cross between Johnathan and Golden Delicious and they are delicious. Sadly the sun disappeared into some hazy cloud but the blossom is just as spectacular without the sun, the perfume from the blossom is quite intoxicating too.
Meanwhile Lucie just gets on with what Jack Russell Terriers do best, disappearing into the undergrowth, she's somewhere under the apple trees ratting.
