Once there was a garden

During the morning walk, or drift around, with Lucy we found some Fritillary flowering in what was once a farm garden. There is no house there anymore but a mature Bay Tree and a lonely Pear Tree were the only companions to this little group of flowers that seemed to be flourishing in a spot out of the wind but in full sun. Warm and sheltered, perfect conditions.

The temptation is to rescue the bulbs and replant them but I think we'll just leave them to flourish as they are.
