Communion with nature

Close your eyes and imagine the scene. There you are tucked up in bed lovely and warm, the rain is lashing the bedroom window and the apple and walnut trees are swinging and swaying in the gale. Then the rumbles start accompanied by the thunder in your stomach. The privy is one hundred and fifty yards away from the house through the orchard and you know that the candle will get blown out in the gale. The creatures of the night can see you but you can't see them. You try to ignore the signals but  you just have to go...!
When you get there you will have to hang on to the door too! Will the paper be damp? Did the last person close the door after them?
      Ah, 'the good old days'!
This particularly fine example of a privy pictured above has sadly fallen into disrepair but a weekend of leisurely work with toilet breaks, would have it looking spruce and ready to go. White paint and a jaunty colour is all that is needed to give that desirable beach hut look. Wonderful!
However you would have to evict the rabbits that have made their home beneath the facilities.
