The keeper is making himself big

A linocut from an ongoing series about the fans of the team I have always supported, Middlesbrough.
When sides were picked for a game of football the little kid or, heaven forbid the girl, was always put in goal. It didn't matter how good an outfield player they happened to be, they went in goal and they could protest all they wanted, it didn't make any difference. The ground started to shake as the biggest kid on the block ran towards the ball placed on the penalty spot.
No problem though because 'The keeper is making himself big'!
This print is autographed by Middlesbrough's ex-goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, the Australian national team's goalie.
