The Budle Flamingo

A linocut in nine colours and, bizarrely a subject from the Northumberland coast; Budle Bay just North of Bamburgh Castle.
The bosses cousin came back to where we were staying and said he'd just seen a pink flamingo standing in the North Sea. This is not really a common sight! Obviously we all thought he'd been on the sauce but nonetheless we piled into the car, drove down to the bay and there it was looking very pink and made even more pink by the developing sunset . It must have been an escapee but was a somewhat dreamlike, psychedelic sight on the mudflats and seaweed. So there you are.
Before you think it or say it, I hadn't been on the sherry either.
