Sharpen the saw, mix the two-stroke, pull the starter

There's more than a touch of autumn in the air this morning so another small job needs to be done.
The hunter- gatherer will be sawing, chopping and stacking to fill the other winter store; the wood stack. We've got well seasoned beech, hawthorn, laburnam and ash, (what great names for firewood), oak, willow, apple, pear and walnut. In other words a good mix of woods. The ceremonial lighting can't be too far off because the Boss complained of cold feet last night.
Obviously it is more aesthetically pleasing to have the logs crackling away in the woodburner rather than put on a pair of socks.
The other big question is what do we celebrate with when we do the ceremonial lighting? You'll just have to watch this space to find out.
Meanwhile here's the wood stack so far.
