The Bedlington Terrier

A pit landscape from the North East of England and a miner's terrier off the lead.
The inevitable Jack Russell doing one of the things that they do best; hunting in its own world ignoring the owners shouts of  'Howay, come here you little bugger'! Watching and listening for the slightest movement or noise to match the scent and then all hell will be let loose.
The pits have gone but the villages remain as does the love of hunting dogs and the annual terrier show. Jack Russells, Borders, Lakelands, Bedlingtons, Patterdales will all be there or any combination of breeds that isn't strictly for the purist but will do a job of work.
If you are in the North East and you get the chance to visit a terrier show, go; its worth it for the terrier racing alone. Well, once the dogs finish fighting.
