Hanging on the gallery wall

Angling. Allotments. Albion

A linocut in ten colours going back to images and reference from the North East and the Midlands in the sixties. This print also featured as a front cover on Waterlog magazine.
The image is of a lone fisherman, his bike is parked against the brambles. Around him are empty allotments and empty streets. Everybody must be in the football ground watching Albion playing at home and venting their frustrations at the players, referee and linesmen, not forgetting the away fans.
In other words normal spectator participation at the big match.
Meanwhile down on the cut the angler is in Arcadia.
