The Jack Russell who loves a good dog fight, any dog, any size and if they are within range they are engaged, vigorously. He's not good with cats either, he just takes the pain and gets stuck in. Ratting is the perfect recreation for him but it has to be done solo.
However we do speak from a position of strength, we happen to own one of these characters. It's always said that buy a dog and you will meet people, socialise with owners, discuss the merits of their breed, training classes or dog shows? Not with this one, he could start a fight in an empty shed!
When you walk Hurricane people and their pets cross over the road or head back the way they came as soon as they see you often with the pets leading the owner; once bitten and all that. We tried dog training and he got expelled, predictably. On the bright side he's brilliant with kids and people, well as long as they don't ring the doorbell.
Time for a lonely walk I think!
