We had some proper weather yesterday afternoon, indeed, we had some spectacular weather. The storms were travelling at great speed across the sky chased by bursts of bright sunshine and the result? A fabulous rainbow that ended up being a double rainbow. Brilliant!
Now, there is a saying that there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Cue drum roll and fanfare - you heard it here first.
The boss, recently returned from an undercover trip to Newcastle, sent me out in the pouring rain with the camera and there it was, not a pot but a tree full of gold. Golden Delicious apples and they are visible at the base of the rainbow in the top picture. Fantastic!
Now we will await the arrival of the newspapers and their bidding war for the exclusive story.
