Rust to rust

On our way to a sneaky pub lunch out of West Norfolk and over the border into Cambridgeshire we both got the cross hairs on this little bit of of agricultural installation art subtly merging with the autumn colours.

Why go in for all that weeding and pruning? Just let the ivy grow and the elder burst forth, the flowers bloom and the animals and birds nest. It may look like a crazed one-eyed transformer from the front but it does remind us in a strange way of Arthur Rackham's illustrations of haunted woods.

We even see it as a showstopper at the Chelsea Flower Show, it's got it all. Wildlife garden, wild landscape, re-cycling of old equipment, all in all we reckon its a winner. Here's to you Massey Ferguson may you rust in pastoral peace.

Remember, if you don't go straight to sleep tonight it will be knocking on your bedroom window...
