The boss mentioned, in passing, a new bathroom window would be nice. Something a bit lively and cheerful and rather than plain old boring frosted glass a bit of colour would be good too.
So the next day I set off researching colourful replacement glass and, of course, some brownie points. A trip to Lincoln Cathedral supplied us with these two wonderful examples that would look just brilliant sandwiched between the planet saving double glazing and the bonus is the colours would cheer anyone up.
Another great relevant touch is that the leaf patterns in the rose window would suit the agricultural area we live in too, what a sales pitch.
We do get the feeling that even a sensible offer for the rose window would be turned down by the Bishop of Lincoln, even if I point out that it's already been broken and put back together as a rather brilliant, abstract colour explosion. So I'm not even going to try an offer on the smaller one.
