A Double Swan please

The swans are flying into the area in large numbers with the fields, when viewed from a distance, looking as if they have been sprayed with blobs of white paint.
Fields that have had the sugar beet recently harvested seem to be the current favourite landing ground, presumably because of the abundance of freshly chopped beet leaves for the swans to feed on.
The swans do live dangerously, skimming the power lines to get to their chosen destination and inevitably, they sometimes crash into them killing themselves and the power supply and creating lengthy power cuts in the process.
The native swans seem happy to stay on the waterways, sometimes when I am out pike fishing I wish they would discover chopped sugar beet too.
Meanwhile a pint of Double Swan please.
