Half-time hand warmer

This is a mini-tin for little cubes and the brilliant little Oxo cube not only makes great gravy but also provides the answer to keeping warm when you are following those exciting outdoor pursuits such as fishing or being a spectator at football, hockey and rugby matches in the midwinter.
Don't resort to alcohol to keep warm and waste your units and certainly don't imbibe in the boss's sloe gin; we all know that's rocket fuel.
Oxo was a staple half-time drink at the match as we watched Middlesbrough Reserves playing out a scintillating 0-0 draw with Workington Reserves on a frost hardened pitch at Ayresome Park in the late 1950's. The reserves aren't called the 'stiffs' for nothing.
Nobody wore gloves in those days, least of all on the pitch; they would have been called 'Fancy Dan" footballers if they were seen wearing gloves. How times change!
Much better to warm your hands around a steaming cup of Oxo.
