Another pile of hardwood logs and it's all fruit wood too, and it's apple if you really want to know.
I can just see all of these logs freshly sawn, neatly stacked and ready to burn. What a delight, no pun intended.
Apple burns with such a sweet smell that you could almost take your favourite armchair out into the garden and enjoy the smell of woodsmoke in comfort. Having said that I'm sure that Health and Safety would have something to say about smelling and possibly inhaling applewood smoke but you could smoke your cheese, bacon or eels in the tangy haze.
I'm feeling a little hungry now but first a call to my therapist about my log envy problems.
