A whole day of steady rain and the promise of yet more to follow, the farmers will be happier. In reality we could do with steady rain for weeks to help the crops although it wouldn't alleviate the 'water shortage'. Water shortage? In England? What a joke!
There's only a shortage because there's no investment in infrastructure, 'they' will say it's too expensive so the bills will have to go up, yet again, to pay for the 'investment' in infrastructure, so it's a levy not an investment.
One thing is for certain you couldn't accuse the captains of the water industry of lateral thinking, they couldn't run water downhill into a reservoir.
The boss says I'm going on a rant so let's just let the water people know that Nimbostratus usually means rain, so, a lot of Nimbostratus should be top of their most wanted list.
That's if they have a list of things to do, other than go to meetings, and talk.
OK, I'll stop now!
