Years after the end of the war here is another Nissen Hut right in the frontline still serving as faithfully as ever.
Although not a large construction this one is being used as an agricultural store and contains hay and farming equipment and while it is only a single skin it carries on fulfilling the job description. It's just a thought but this one would fit nicely in our garden. Imagine all the 'stuff' I could store in it along with a patio table and chairs where a morning coffee, afternoon tea or maybe an alfresco pint could be enjoyed after filling it with 'stuff'.
The boss says no. I can't think why! Anyway, this one is next to a fairly busy road and probably doesn't get a second glance from the vast majority of motorised passers-by.
We'll just have to start the Nissen Hut Protection League, not a catchy title but we'll work on a better acronym as more gems are discovered.
