A lengthy patrol to the east coast, me driving and the boss in the turret wearing sunblock. This was a patrol to Southwold, the home of some of England's finest beer and fine food too.
In summer we really would have been fighting them on the beaches, well, fighting them to get on to the beach after fighting them to get in the car park. The first battalion of the Boden Fusiliers are no pushover but Teesside and Tyneside's finest skirmishers would have come through.
Anyway, at the top and looking North is the pier and lighthouse, very picturesque. To the bottom and looking South is a top secret facility and a slightly grittier view, we like the South.
