The adventures of a long range patrol

A long range patrol to the deep South, me driving and the boss in the turret. A patrol that even crossed the River Thames.
Prior to crossing the Thames we enjoyed the M25 at its finest, which is of course, when it is at a standstill and where else would you choose to take in the glorious views of the rolling Buckinghamshire countryside whilst crawling slowly towards Furze Platt.
We discovered this gable end on a pub and what fabulous image it is too! The gold on the harp is looking some what 'patinated' but it still looks great and with perfect logic we decided to celebrate the discovery with a pint.
Sadly the pub was shut because of a burst water main.
Now we are back in West Norfolk where a pint of Elgoods Double Swan awaits so you enjoy the gable end and we'll enjoy the beer.
