A late evening squall passes to the west of the house playing its small part in the great 'will it water the garden or won't it' lottery.
On this occasion it missed by a mile or more; in fact for two days we sat in our own private patch of blue sky and dryness with the rain going left, going right or simply swerving around us.
The great drought of 2012 continues. We need a 'Minister for Drought', that appointment would be sure to make it rain.
Then there's the thorny question of the timing of the appointment?
Easy, the beginning of the school summer holidays of course.
