Potato trays past

Hundreds of potato trays stored in a Nissen Hut somewhere in West Norfolk.
The trays were originally used for chitting the seed prior to planting and then removed from the trays to be planted by hand on the 'new' mechanised planting equipment.
Times have changed dramatically and on most farms the whole process is even more mechanised and more industrial to enable the growing of the volume of crop demanded by the wholesalers and supermarkets.
Looking at this huge amount of trays they represent a huge amount of kindling for the fire.
