Freshly cropped asparagus



         A basket of freshly cut asparagus, what a treat, but for some growers the crop this year is late and struggling in the cold damp weather.
      Meanwhile the big decision is how do we cook the lovely spears this evening. Steamed, roasted, wrapped in thin bacon or ham.
      Then another decision; which white wine?
      Decisions, decisions, decisions. The boss can do the major culinary decision and I'll do the wine, I'll have to test it too, well, someone has to do it.
