I get high with a little help from my friends. . .

Mr Right and Mrs Left scoffing away on the bird feeder, our resident goldfinch family. We can't find the nest but their young have just fledged and the immature birds turn up for a guzzle too.
They're feeding on Niger seed and are absolutely obsessed with it, if you mix it with other seed they'll sift through the food to find their favourite, strange or what! Maybe it works like cats and catmint but does it work on humans?
I did read about a man who saw his cat getting high on catmint and decided to smoke some to check the effect but sadly there wasn't any. I read that in the Daily Telegraph years ago so it must be true.
Never mind it's food for thought.
