Settling in

I see trouble ahead, a pair of swans have set up home and are awaiting the arrival of cygnets. Where's the problem there you may ask?
Well, they may well still be there, in one of my favourite swims on June 16, the opening day of the coarse fishing season and should I dare to set up near them, they'll express their disapproval in no uncertain terms.
Why did they choose this particular place in miles of reeds that all look the same?  Who knows?
A dignified retreat would seem to be the order of the day.
