Pillbox in the potatoes

A heavy-duty pillbox lurking in a potato field and presenting a menacing and appropriate profile.
The pillbox lies near a crossroads and a drain, obviously this particular location in the landscape was deemed to be of considerable strategic importance during the Second World War and probably a major choke point too.
We've said before that any of these installations must have been a lonely and bleak billet in the winter or just during inclement weather in any season.
A hot cup of tea would have been welcome anytime but a Navy Rum ration would have been even better.
