Parade's fading end

Although we are coming to the end of the bedding plant season this glorious display merits a mention.
All around the borders regimented flowers beam merrily at the sun and probably at passing aeroplanes too.
The flowers on the two varieties of Clematis being trained on the wooden arch were two shades of pink but they've been dead-headed and slapped into line; but the Marigolds and Dahlias will soldier on until the first frost hits or the gardener loses patience as their powers fade and into the compost they go.
What colour scheme next year? No idea, but we have no doubt that it will be just as lovely and standing to attention.
