The plum trees are groaning under the weight of Victoria plums, consequently jam, jelly and plum sauce making is in full swing as is the rather excessive consumption of the luscious fruit while it's being picked...
Thankfully there doesn't seem to be usual the number of drunken, irritable wasps to go tumbling down your arms as you pick the fruit. The crop is truly colossal and our farmer friend describes it as the 'boldest' he has seen in years.
Meanwhile the many varieties of apples continue to ripen in another part of the orchard, happy and idyllic days.
