There's no doubt that it's a Renault 6, the posh Renault 4, but it looks like a bit of an MoT failure. The delicately rusting refrigerator in front of it doesn't help the car's image or enhance the pastoral scene; the fridge is rusting even more than the Renault but the boss and I reckon the 6 is one for the crusher not the restorer.
We had two Renault 4's, or 'noddy cars' as our kids called them, and those memories have prompted a quick burst of nostalgia for the handbag hanger gear change and the aircon system where you just opened a flap under the windscreen to let the insects in.
We think we'll stick to the patrol vehicle.
