The creeping mist

The mist creeping slowly across the fields gives a real autumn feel to the landscape and the pastel shades in the sky only serve to enhance the twilight.
In the mornings the cars are covered in condensation so we guess that really means the end of the proper summer is here. Pinch an apple while walking the terriers through the orchards and they're so chilly that they certainly find the sensitive fillings quickly, and the plums are even worse, but still tasty.
This probably means we can't be too far from the first ground frost and the Autumn Equinox is almost upon us.
      Winter creeps ever closer.
