Inside our local delicatessen, 'Freddies the deli on the corner', in Downham Market and it's an absolute cavern of tasty delights.
Olives, salamis, cured meats, cheeses, fresh bread, simply loads of wonderful produce from many small, specialist producers in Spain and Italy. The chorizo is fantastic, forget the big corporate supermarket offerings, try Freddie's instead, you won't be disappointed in fact you'll be delighted.
There are Italian and Spanish wines, cider from Galicia, beers from Paris and Denver, that's Denver in West Norfolk by the way and some brilliant olive oils too.
All this talk of food is making me hungry and thirsty so a few slices of salami and pint of Hares Hopping bitter from the Two Rivers Brewery in Denver will go down a treat.
Pop in and see Freddie, you may even get some free samples as tasters.
Sound of beer being carefully poured.
Cheers. Satisfied sigh.
