Out on patrol, me driving and the Boss in the turret, when old eagle eyes in the turret noticed a slight inconsistency in presentation, or spelling if you are being particular.
It's all the same drove it's just that it has a slightly different spelling at opposite ends. At one end it's an adjective and at the other a proper noun.
At one end it's Pius Drove and at the other Pious Drove. Does it confuse satnavs? Does the Post Office make its own correction?
At least it gives the people along the drove the chance to return their tax assessments or unwanted mail as 'not known at this address'.
Meanwhile, we must learn to control our vowels.
