We spotted this massive stack of straw bales the other day each one weighing one and half tons when they're dry, goodness knows what the bottom rows weigh now that they are soaking wet!
Over the last month the 'lake' has slowly reduced giving the bales the look of some strange container ship mired in the mud at low tide.
One good thing about them being soaking and standing in water means that they won't make a target for any budding pyromaniacs, well not until they really dry out.
