Owl tower

An owl or hawk box on a pole, a bit of a high rise in fact. This one stands next to a drain where the banks provide a ready larder of mice and voles, not to mention rats, for the raptors to dine on.
The garden is a Silver Birch which also provides a supplementary perch when the family hatches and starts to fly.
There's another box about three hundred yards away so they won't be short on company, perhaps they have vole sandwiches Beatrix Potter style.
