Worms for breakfast, dinner and tea

Surprise, surprise, a sunny and relatively mild day, the land has dried a little because of the wind and farmers are ploughing. All is well with the world.
Those great opportunists the seagulls are feasting on the surfeit of worms being turned over by the plough but still they squabble, fight and argue jostling to get at the soil right up against the plough. Our farmer neighbour has even released seagulls that have been trapped under the turning earth, so great was their desire to get to the worms first.
He said he didn't know why he bothered because he got a good beaking every time he released one.
