Blackthorn Winter

A trip into the heart of Norfolk on a day when it poured with rain. We were on a hunt for new fishing waters, me driving and the boss in the turret, and as we turned down a narrow lane there it was, Blackthorn bursting into  blossom and a whole hedgerow of it too.
We've marked the spot on the map because once the sloes are ripe the sloe gin factory will swing into operation, lovely.
Meanwhile we'll just have to be patient and keep watching the crop develop.
