Hidden under the layers of paint this is quite a smart Victorian letterform. The paint tends to soften the shape but, with the paint cleaned off the type would be quite crisp and sharp, even the quarter fans in the corners that look like ice cream wafers would clean up well.
Never mind the paint is keeping the ravages of the the weather and time at bay, but we're not sure about the beige though.
